EQ
EQ
Equiniti is a leading provider of transfer agent, equity plan administration, corporate actions, proxy, and investor relations services to public and private companies. As the regulated system of record for nearly 3,000 of the world’s leading public companies, Equiniti is a mission-critical services partner to issuers as they navigate the technology transformations reshaping capital markets, from migrating shareholder records and equity administration onto modern platforms to the emergence of tokenized securities.
Siris acquired Equiniti in December 2021 and combined it with American Stock Transfer & Trust Company (AST), creating the second-largest transfer agent globally, serving approximately 30% of the S&P 500 and approximately 50% of the FTSE 100. Siris subsequently acquired Notified, adding complementary corporate and investor relations services to the platform.
In May 2026, Siris agreed to sell Equiniti to Bullish (NYSE: BLSH) in a transaction valued at $4.2 billion. Siris views tokenization as one of the most impactful trends for financial markets since electronic trading and believes Equiniti is best positioned under Bullish’s ownership, at the intersection of traditional financial infrastructure and digital assets. Upon closing of the transaction, Siris is expected to be Bullish’s largest shareholder and will have representation on Bullish’s Board of Directors.
